Good Monday.oooops, Tuesday Morn!

It sure feels like a Monday to me! I will be confused all day and all week! Well this starts the week of the next to the last week of school. My boy graduates on Friday, and I hope I make it thru that day. He is my second child, and that boy was glued to my hip till he was about 10 years old. He has turned into a young adult so quickly, but yet, he is still very close to his dad and I. He is very opinionated, strong willed, but he is still my baby. I still have 2 more in school Angela Elizabeth will be in 7th next year, and my little baby Nicholas willbe in 2nd. But David graduating really hits me in my heart. Anyway, I hope to have some pictures if he'll let me take them! Meantime here are a few things I wanted to share.

Those are some boxes I made to put some Avon gifts in for a few people I need to have a little gift for. The bird and flower are made from templates from Paperwishes. I love those templates. I have a Cricut, a Big Shot, a Cuttlebug, but still love to cut things out with scissors once and a while. I love how these boxes turned out....

This is just a little t light votive holder I made, again with the paperwishes bird embellishing it. I will be making a whole bunch of these for my daughters shower on July 18. They will be a little gift for the bridsemaids to take home with them.

It's been a long time...

It has been a long time. I have alot to share, but I will share in two posts. First look at Sally and Will together on my couch. I was sleeping there and got up for a minute and came back and found them both. Sally looks less than happy about me snapping her picture....

I also got a couple stitcheries done, and stuffed them into little pillows for decorating with. I got the snowman pattern from Oldetime stitchin, a wonderful place for really nice prim patterns. The other I got from a free pattern site.

At the end of this week, my second child graduates from high school. I am already crying about it! I can't stand it! He is not 18, and is not graduating! I cannot beleive it! We will be having a small party on Saturday. He really didn't want a party, but it is also my youngest birthday, will be 8, and so we decided to have a small party. I'm doing all the cooking. I hope the weather is nice! Well, I'll stop by tomorow with a few more things to share. Happy Memorial Day to all! God Bless the U.S.A.!

I'd like you all to meet the new addtion to our family! His name is Will! He is a Yorkie/Shitzu mix. Is he not adorable! He is less than a lb. at this point. Sally is afraid of him! She hate when he starts whining, she goes over, looks at him, and he will start walking toward her, and she takes off. She is so cute when she does that! Anyway, my friends dog had a litter of 6 puppies, one was a girl, the rest were boys. This was the only one who looks most like the yorkie, so I picked him! She pretty much gave him to me, because we are friends, and she wants to be able to see him all the time, so he is a shared puppy! I needed this like I needed a hole in my head, beleive me! Sally is enough work for 3 dogs, but I just had to have this one! The kids love it. The poor dog will never have to walk, because they carry him around all day. Great, another one that will not climb steps! Sally will not, except for the 2 porch steps, and she flies up those. She will not climb any other stairs, not even for scooby snack! The vet says, alot of dogs have height issues, mostly smaller dogs, like her. It's actually kinda nice, when a repair man comes or something, you can put her up stairs, and she will not bother the guy who is fixing the sink! My other dog, Terry, used to get up under whatever someone was fixing, and lay there, till I had to drag him out by his collar, and then he would whine the whole time, because he wanted to play with the plumber! Luckily, our plumber was a friend, and he would laugh about it! Anyway, I hope you like Will, we do! Pray my son Nicholas does not squeeze him too hard, because he is afraid he will drop him, so he squishes him to his chest and the poor things eye's bulge out! Goodness, it's been a weekend! Snowstorm!!!

Wow, I'm sure there are alot of you who got dumped on this past Friday/Saturday. We were only to get 8-12, we ended up with over 24 inches. Many friends in my neighborhood do not have power. I fortunately do, and I feel badly that I do. I'm warm, have lights, furnace, and my friends are worried because they are told it may be 5 days till the power can be restored. I offered help, and so far all I have been able to do is charge some cell phones. I dont have much room, but I would like to help in some way. I offered my freezer to my friends whojust did a big grocery shopping with alot of expensive meats, since they had gotten thier income tax check, they shopped big. I told them there is room for thier most expensive things, to please bring it over. They will today. I cannot beleive how bad that storm was. It was worse than the blizzard of '93. We actually got 36 inches of snow that time, but for some reason this one caused much more problem, they say. I hope where ever you are, you are warm, and have power. I am going to post another post, hope you'll stop in to see it, its a cutie!!! Hugs, michelle

A couple of new Valentine Cards

I was playing around with my digital stamps from Whimsie Doodles this morning, and my oldest son saw them and decided to give one to his girlfriend. Then my tiny boy saw them and thought he might like to give one to his girlfriend! LOL! One is 18 and one is 7! Nicholas likes a girl named Nicole. He likes her because she has horses at her house and wants to go see them! So he wants to give her a special Valentine so she'll invite him over! (She already has, but he does not know it yet! We are going over next weekend!) Anyway, hope you like the Valentines. I had fun making the newspaper flowers on them! Hugs, michelle

Who wants pie???

I'm so proud of myself! It may not look like the best pie in the world, but I did it myself! Now, don't get me wrong, I can bake. I bake alot! I love baking cut out sugar cookies, pizzelles, jelly cookies, all kinds of cakes, cobblers, etc. But pie was never my "thing". I could not get the crust right , ever! I got a food processor for Christmas, a Black and Decker, and have been looking at the pastry crust recipe for some time now, and finally said, today is the day. I'm going to make a pie, a real pie with homemade crust. It worked out so well! I made one crust, then another! I made a 2 crust apple pie! I usually use storebought crust, which there is nothing wrong with that. They come out just as good. But this was so awesome! I can't wait to cut it for dinner later! I hope it tastes good! Ok, now that I have accomplished this, I may move on to homemade bread one day soon! I'll let you know!

Meantime, its an awesome day here in the North East. It poured rain yesterday, flooded my basement, of course, made mud everywhere due to all the melted snow, and all the rain. Today it's about 42 degrees out there, and there is this foriegn orange thing in the sky....oh, it's the sun! LOL! I have not seen that for weeks! I take that back, it came out for 5 minutes on Saturday!

I am waiting for a few things I ordered from HSN, and Papertrey Ink. I can't wait till they come. I think I will go sit down now, and finish my Valentine candle mat, so I can share it. I actually got one stitched up, coffee dyed, but I am working on another one, and then I will finish them so they can be used. I'm also working on a little coffee cross stitch project and of course, cards. Soooo, off to work on these things, then a trip to the Goodwill before Nicholas and I go pick up the other two kids at thier friends houses! Have a great rest of the day! Hugs,

Valentine Cards...

I finally got to sit down and use my new Crafters Companion this morning. I also got to use my new Bow-easy. Don't you love gadgets? I love all my gadgets. I got the Ultimate Crafters Companion as a late Christmas gift, and I'm so glad I did! It is so fun to use, just be sure to watch the DVD it comes with, and you can get the basics and do your own thing. I love the little Bow Easy too. It makes perfect little bows for cards everytime! Flat, and the ribbon always turns the right way! That has always been a major problem for me, making 1 sided ribbon work. Sorry the pictures arent' the best. They never are, but these are really giving me a hard time. I think it is because the paper is shimmery. It came with the Ultimate and it is such nice heavy cardstock! It is awesome! I'm ordering more of that! Anyway, one of the cards is called an Accordian Card and the other is a pop-up, the inside and the outside. I've used the digitals images from Whimsie Doodles, and used my Nesties to embellish them. And of course the Ultimate and the Bow Easy. Thanks for stoppin in. I appreciate your visits! The snow just won't quit!

I thought I'd share a couple of photos with you, my poor doggy in the snow, my bushes covered, there are Christmas lites under there somewhere! And my corner with the Christmas stuff still out. It will probably be there till the spring thaw!!!
Have a warm day where ever you are! I'm going out with my husband this mornning to do all the things I have not done all week. I need to go to the bank, which closes at noon, I need to go to Target and get some more of those flocked hangers they sell from Joy Mangano, I love those hangers! I need to go to the grocery store to get some supplies to cook and bake, and maybe I can talk him into Jo-anne fabrics, I need my craft supply fix! I hope you all have a great day! I'm going to try to get a few things done to post, yesterday with the kids home, I got nothing done! I spent most of the day in the kitchen making breakfast, lunch dinner, snax, getting hot chocolate, what a day!!!!! Hugs to all! Michelle

First Project of 2010, calendars....

I got the little calendars at Lolly Chops, blog (see sidebar) I thought I would make a couple little gifts to give to some I have not seen for the holiday! I love them! I had such fun making them! I will have some cards to share next. I also wanted to leave you with a look at my little guy doin his homework!

He is only in first grade and he gets so much homework! We forgot to do this one yesterday, since we were closed due to bad weather, so we had to get up early to do this paper. He was not happy! Is it ever going to end.....

SNOW! It has snowed for almost 6 days now! We had 2 delays this week for school, now today they canceled because we got another 4 inches on top of the 3 yesterday, and we are in for more! I'm sick of shoveling and sweeping! Wish hubby were here to do it , but he won't be back for quite a while.

I have a few projects I will be sharing today or tomorow. They are paper craft related. I am also hoping next week to start a little beginner quilting. I got a quliters' kit for Christmas and I have a few things I want to try to do. I also got a Debbie Mumm quilting book, it looks pretty simple, so I would love to start something there soon!

I also got some cool things for Christmas that I had been wanting. I got a new food processor. I used it twice since I got it. I got a really nice set of melamine mixing bowls, some decent knives, a good pair of kitchen shears to cut food with, which I really wanted. Got some crafting things too, a sizzix die to make baskets, and a Cricut cartridge from my sis-in-law. We bought ourself's a Kuerig coffee pot before Christmas, the platinum version. We love it! No more coffee sitting in the bottom of the pot cooking and getting nasty after an hour. A fresh cup each time. Ours came with a My K-cup, and we bought another so we can just used our normal coffee in the pot. We got various K-cups to try also. I got a bag of Mistletoe coffee from Sam's club the other day, it is 3 lbs! It was orignially $14.95, on clearance for $3.95! I have a coffee grinder so I ground some up and tried it! Awesome! It has a hazelut,vanilla, cinnamon flavor to it. Anyway, got some gift cards too, so I used it to buy an otteman for the living room to go with our new furniture we got a few months back. So now I am done spending money, time to hibernate and use all the things I have, so I can cook, craft, and drink coffee! LOL!

Have the Best Christmas Ever!

Just a little post to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I cant' wait to see my kids open all the gifts I was able to buy them, thanks to my husband working so hard all year! I have been having fun listening to my little girl, Angela, having fun exchanging gifts and fun with her little friends. She is such a sweet, thoughtful girl. Always thinking of someone else, helping me through this Christmas Season, by wrapping most of my gifts, helping with some of the baking, helping me with a few of my crafted gifts, selling bake goods at our craft show, so many things! She is a doll! She has had the worst last few weeks though, she fell and hurt her wrist (in the home), then her croup has been acting up something terrible, not sleeping, then the poor thing was going to school yesterday, with her teachers gifts of large coffee mugs and hand made coasters in her bag, and she fell on the ice, and the mugs came up and hit the poor thing in the back of her head!!! I felt so badly for her. She went to school, but I called the school nurse to please keep a check on her, and she did. I ended up going and giving her Tylenol for her slight headache, and then she was fine. My heart broke for her when she came into the house crying, she was having such a morning! Anyway, back to the holiday. I baked my butt off this week, cooked it off today too! LOL! Got some things ready for tomorow nite, a friend is coming over and we are exchanging gifts. Then I am going to kick her out early, get the younger kids to bed, and play Santa Claus! I can't wait! I can't wait to cook my dinner on Christmas day. We are so blessed to be able to have a big dinner, and there are so many that I personally know that will not be so blessed. I wish I could invite them all over for dinner! Wouldn't that be nice? It will be a nice holiday, because my husband will be home till Jan. 3, and the kids will be home till the 4th. I am hoping to be able to do a few fun things this year, since he will be here to take us! Nicholas is patiently waiting to see if he is getting the D-Rex he asked for, and a few other things. He is not even getting any toys out to play with because he does not want Santa to see a mess in the house! He's a sweetie! Last nite my older son's girlfriend brought gifts over. She got the kids some cute things, and she got me a set of 88 gel pens! She loves my handmade things, and she noticed I did not have gel pens, so she got me them. She is a cute girl, and a really nice one, too. I have to remind my son to be nice to her, sometimes he is a bit miserable with her, and I told him not to start out that way. Be nice, listen to her, don't blame her for things her parents do, she might be 18 but she still lives there and must repect them. My older daughter will be here with her boyfriend on Christmas Day. We will visit my mother tomorow, Christmas Eve.

Have a Blessed and Happy Holiday, and I hope you all can visit with friends , family. I hope you can all stop and say a prayer for those less fortunate, or those who are unhappy or dont' seem to want to celebrate such a wonderful time of year, that they may find some kind of comfort in the Christmas Season, and the celebration of the Birth of our Lord, Jesus.....he is the reason for this Season! Some things to share....

These are just some pics of some large tags and a couple tag boxes I made with Whimsie Doodle digital images. I really hate to use them on gifts because I don't want anyone to throw them away! They took me some time! LOL! Anyway, Aren't those digital's so cute! I enjoyed coloring them, even thought I don't really like to color! I try to stay away from it! I am going to put some Avon products in the little boxes to give to some people that I don't usually buy gifts for. Maybe I'll get a couple new customers! The large scallop tags were made from the Big Shot, and Sizzix dies. I used the large scallop die (Bigz)and cut it out so that it would be like a card, and used the circle, (bigz die) for the middle. I used a Cuttlebug die for the snowflakes. For the shaped tags, (bells, stockings) those too are Sizzix dies. I also positioned the die so I would get the card affect. Fun!

On to some more things I have been working on.

These are some quilted coasters I found directions for somewhere on the internet, I will find the link and post it later. They are pretty quick and easy. My daughter helped make some for some of her teachers. We are going to put a coaster in a coffee mug, with some hot chocolate mix in each one. We don't know if they like coffee or not! The others are some cute emboidered ornaments made from Wild Olive's patterns. I got the finishing idea from visiting Pip Stitch (on my sidebar). I need to made 21 for my son's class. I better get busy!

Well, that's it for today. I really have to get to the store today, but not sure if I will. It is supposed to snow today! I dont' drive in it! I almost went out this past Sunday, I was going to take my mom shopping for a little. It was supposed to freezin drizzle very early, then change to all rain. Well, around 9:50 I was getting ready to leave. It was raining pretty good, but I was ok with the rain. My son called from his gf's house where he'd spent the nite from all nite bowling, and said to my husband "Hey did you hear all the interstates and major roadways are closed?". My husband was surprised and of course asked why, and he proceeded to tellus we are in the middle of a major ice storm! We looked out, and sure enough the streets where a sheet of ice, the sidewalks, my flag was stiff with ice, and my car was covered in ice! We had no idea! Turned on the t.v., you should have seen the mayhem! It came as a surprise, like one second the road was wet, the next it was all ice, and people were driving like it was wet only, and suddenly they started to collide with one another, go off roads, cars were piling up, it was just a mess! Sadly, a 22 year old girl, a vet assistant on her way to work for a pet emergency, was killed in the ice storm, when she unexpectedly hit the icy roads, when off the road, over an embankment, and was killed. How sad.....Fortunatley that was the only fatality, some minor injuries, but lot's and lot's of fender benders, and damgage to property from cars carreening into yards and things. The Pa. turnpike was littered with car parts, my husband said, as he was driving to Ohio, later that day! So glad I was not out in it. I would have never drove again! I freak when there is a flurry, let alone ice!!!! Especially here, in all the hills we have around here! I am not far from the Laurel Mountains, about 45 minutes, so we are pretty hilly!!! I live in a valley, and you can't get into my town without some major hills to tackle!

A little peek of decorations in my home....

I'm just posting a few pics of my decorations I put up today. (click on pics to make them bigger) I have made most of my decorations over the years. I painted the Christmas balls,the light bulb ornaments, the bucket under the little Christmas Tree, and the candy canes on the little tree, and the large canes hanging on the step railing. I also made the rag lighted garland on the little tree, as well as the stacked box snoman. All the ornaments on the garland, I made the plastic canvas train on the coffee table, which is an antique from my gramma. I made that train probably 20 years ago! A friend and I were seeing how long it would take us to each make one. I won! It took me two weeks, and took her three! I have not done that kind of craft for years, but I really love that train, and my kids always love it too. It does not go with my other decorations, but it will always come out, each year! Is it really the 7th of December?

I cannot beleive it! I finally got hubby to get my decorations out of the basement cubby yesterday before he left for Ohio. I am hoping to get my steps decorated at least today, that is always a hard job! I would like to get alot of the stuff up, but we'll see. I have to go to Wal-mart to pick up a gift for my little guy today, and get myself back home. It's going to snow! I do not drive in snow, at all. I get so upset when I am out and it starts to even flurry. I just can't do it! Anyway, here area a couple things I got done last week. They are tealite holders I made from a tutorial at SplitCoast Stampers. I made a bunch, that I plan on giving the girls at the bank that put up with me and my P.T.O. treasurer duties! The last time I was over there, I have probably 7 deposits to make, which of course, have to be made seperately so that I have a slip for each transaction I do, so I can have the record, and so the accountant can have the record also. I can't wait till he see's my book! I know it is a disaster! Anyway, here are one of the tealite holder.
I thought I had another picture of another tealite holder saved, but I must have somehow deleted it! I only have one to share today! I used my BigKick to emboss the cardstock, I used my oval nesties to make the openings, and the image is a Whimsie Doodle Digital stamp! I have not had any time to get out my rubber stamps lately, but I had these printed out and colored them while watching t.v. one nite. I am not the best colorer, I know that is not a word! But I like the tealite holders, I think they are cute gifts! I'll be back hopefully later with some pics of decorating! I' hope! Hugs, michelle

The kids....

Finally got them all in one room! Back row, Angela, David, Tara, and in the front row, Nicholas,all my kids. The other two boys are my nephews Victor (left), and Alan (right) those are my brother's boys. I am making this short, I'm not feeling well today. Not sure if I ate too much yesterday, or I am getting what others have had around me! Had a nice day yesterday, how about you? I will stop in tomorow with some crafts I have done this week! Gingerbreads all over the place!

Good morning! Are you all getting ready for Thanksgiving? Are you having dinner at your house? I am. My brother and sister in law and thier two boys will be here with us this year! I'm so glad they are coming! Not sure if my oldest daughter will be here or not, she has issues.....believe me! Nicholas has another cold, poor little guy, and the other two are just fine! Anyway, the gingerbreads! I wanted to share with you my ginger breads I have in my kitchen. Make sure you click on the pics to make them bigger! I made most of them. Let me take you thru the pics. The top one is my corner in my kitchen breakfast nook. I made the little stuffed dolls, I sewed them by hand a while back. I painted the old coffee cup and the hearts I sewed, and the ginger is made of Faster Plaster (anyone remember that stuff?). I used a rice krispes treat mold to make it, then painted it. The candle holder I made too, just a jar with the heart taped off with contact paper, painted, then antiqued. The little dangly leg ginger is a gift, and the plushie is also a gift.

Then next one is a little old chest my husbands grampa made from old crates many, many years ago. I have on this an old lunchbox I painted one time, a little coffe pot I painted, a jar candle holder I made, and little "smooshie" pillow I made, courtesy of Lollychops pattern(visit Lolly from my sidebar!) The candle holder (the gingerbread one laying down)is rom Yankee, and the stuffed ginger is a gift from a good friend. If you squeeze his hand he plays Christmas music, but it's really loud! The raisin candle is from Home Interiors, which is not called that anymore, I forget what it is now.

The next is a shelf above my kitchen nook table. I painted the muffin tin, and the little round face at the bottom, that's a candy tin, and there is a little guy peeking from behind the tea set, that is a wooden one we cut out a while back and I painted him, he's hard to see, I will take a pic of him later, he is really cute! The tea set is a gift from my mom. And there is a recylced jar candle holder I made.

One more. This is just the things hanging from the shelf. I made the two wooden gingers hanging there, and the Welcome star with the berries was bought at at craft show a while back. I was kinda mad about this particular thing, though, because I bought it and a little spindley tree with berries and bows, and something else, can't remember. Anyway, when I got the star home, there was a sticker on the back that said "made in china". I thought it was handmade!!!!! That was the first time I realized that people dont' always make what they sell. They sell things from china at a craft show. I am more careful now. I like it, that is the only reason it is used, but I look at it and get mad about it sometimes! Anyway, those are my kitchen things. There is more, but that's all I have time for today! Some painted pans.....

Aren't they cute? I got them at a yard sale, so I painted some snowmen on them, and I'm going to put them on a shelf in my kitchen. I had a few more, but sold them at the craft show last weekend. I also worked on a little challenge project for the Papercraft Planet Group I joined. It's Whimsie Doodles. You can visit them from the links on my side bar. I got my bank stuff all straightened out yesterday. The teller said my problems were mild compared to what they'd seen and heard all day! I can't imagine! Then on top of it, I was having trouble with the internet banking, so the girl tells me to delete the cookies, temp. internet files, and all that. So what do you think happened? I lost all my passwords, and my usernames, and spent half the day yesterday and this morning trying to restore or create new ones for the many millions of places I frequent! What a job! I wrote them all down and put them in my room, so if that ever happens again, I will be ready! LOL!You all have a great eveing! Hugs, michelle

A look at some of my Fall Handmades

I am sharing with you a punchneedle turkey coaster I made, from a pattern I got I believe in Create and Decorate, I am pretty sure. The litle wool leaf mat, I just sorta put together my self using a cookie cutter for my pattern. Then there is Spike. He just had to dress up like a pilgrim for the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday. I love how he likes to dress up! Sally is jealous, because she does not have a pilgrim outfit. We will just have to get her one! Anyway, hope you enjoyed me little things. I have a busy day today. Our bank has changed over to a new bank, and so far I'm not liking it. I dont' like how they add deposits and make you wait for 3 business days for it to show up. I am a little worried about a large deposit I made yesterday, because the girl was new and seemed confused. I'm not seeing it on my online banking account, so I am really worried! I'm going to call customer service today, but I have a feeling, I am going to the bank! I wanted to stay home and work on my quilted hot mats I've been working on. Oh well!

Last nite, my little boy and I cleaned his toy corner. I wished I would have taken a pic of what it looked like before. He is a total pack rat, worse than me!!!! His little table was packed solid with the tiniest little pieces of I dont' know what, money, cars, papers, cards, gumball machine prized, old glow sticks and glow bracelets, you name it, it was there! We had these opened top containers for him to put his "special" toys and matchbox cars in. You cannot imagine how many "special" toys he had in those, they were overflowing all over the floor, under the chair, just everywhere. So I bought two huge containers with lids, filled those, threw almost all the crap on the table away, except for actual toys, got all his webkinz in the open topped container, took the table out of that corner, put it behind my couch and put a fall table cloth on that, stacked all neat over in the corner, and it looks so much better. I wish we had more closet space in this house, but we dont', so much of my life is organizing, putting things in places that I can't find it later, we are a little cluttered in this craft/dining/play room. Craft Show Report......

This is a pic of a canister set I rescued from the trash, I was going to pitch it , and changed my mind. I'm sure I posted it before, but I wanted to share it again. These are the kinds of things I like to do. As far as the Craft Sale I did,
I sold alot of things this time, for a change. The show was quite busy all day! I was so amazed! I think it is all in the timing of these things. I dont'like doing October shows. Everyone around here is busy going to pumpkin patches, homecoming games, fall festivals, Halloween parades and parties. They are too busy doing all that to worry about small craft shows. November and early December have always been good to me! I sold all my painted lite bulb ornaments. I could have sold 50, but I didn't have that many. I sold all my painted flea market finds, the measure cups and all that. I sold all my painted puzzle pieces too. I made some pins, ornaments, and I had some really huge floor puzzle pieces that I painted black, and painted snowmen themes on them, punched holes in top with my Cropodile, and hung them with homespun material ties. People love these things! I had a lady that paints all glass ware, plates and vases, candle holders, ornaments, come over to me and ask me if I would paint for her. What a wonderful comliment, but I declined. You see, I don't want my love of doing these things to become a job! Been there, done that. Some years ago, when my husband and I were cutting all that wood stuff on our scroll saw, and I was painting my rear off, we were in heaven! We sold out every show, and then would sit down in that dirty cellar for hours and hours and cut and sand milk crates full of wooden treasures. I would sit in my dining room for hours and paint and stain and seal. No one painted like I did , because I took no classes, bought no books, just did my thing. My painting background consisting of teaching ceramics classes when I was 16 years old, that was it. I did that till I was 21, then life started for me! Anyway, people began ordering our wood stuff, and it was ok at first, but I didnt' like the push of orders needing to be filled at certain times, people telling me how to paint, trying to change my work too much. So we got burned out, and I quit. Now we can't cut wood, because he works too much, and my kids can't take the dust that comes up thru the vents of the cellar, they have respiratory problems, so till we get a way to do it outside, I am stuck, and I miss it terrible! So when this kind lady asked me to paint for here, while I was flattered, I did have to tell her no, but thank you so much for thinking my work is that good! It is not that great to me, it's very "primitive" to me at times, but "fun" at other times, depends on my mood.

As soon as I can get a chance, I will post some pics of the light bulbs, I am just so busy right now trying to get my house cleaned again for the month! Soon it will be Christmas shopping time, and I will never get anything done! Thanks for reading all this, I appreciate it! Have a great evening! Working on some things.....

I made a bunch of salt dough onrnaments and little cookie type ornaments. I dipped them in an old almond biscottie candle and sprinkled cinnamon and cloves on them. I have some plans for them, so I hope I will get them done for the craft show Saturday.

The kids are off school today for Election Day. I have to work at 2 today, and we probably won't be busy. I hope not, I am tired today! Well, back to cooking my dinner so I can get going soon! Have a great day, hugs, michelle

Good November 2nd already morning! Where did the month of October go???? Sally wonders too! She also wonders why we always put something on her for the holiday! She did not like her kerchief we bought her, cant' you tell? She also did not like the trick or treaters banging on the door! She's a little spitfire! The picture of the kids did not turn out so great. I had to grab them before they went flying out the door, and the "witches" did not have thier hats on either! The one with the mask is sick Nick. He did not go out to get candy, but my son's girlfriend, got him candy from the neighbors.

Now, what is this mess? I'll tell you later. I'm not done yet. I sure do have a messy table, but I work better that way! I love having my paint water in my way, so I can spill it while reaching for my coffee! It just works for me! I'll hopefully show you tomorow what I a made with these. Spike is stopping by with his little friends to say HAPPY HALLOWEEN to you all! He is all decked out in his little witch hat! He wanted to be just like the other witches! Yes, he IS a boy, but he loves his little hat! Spike likes to dress up for all the holidays! He is too funny!

I also wanted to share a few things I have made in the past. This is one of my first punch needle projects I made a long time ago, with my Dee-Lite punch a dear lady sold to me. She was a dealer, and she sold it to me, and I had no idea how to use it! I finally learned, and then used the smallest needle that came with it to use embroidery floss to make this pumpkin. He took a long time, as I remember. Now I have every punchneedle known to man! I love to punchneedle, but don't get to do it enough. I have some projects almost finished to share with you soon! The yo -yo garland, I made last year.

More Treats for the Sale

I made these for the sale also. I really need to stop. I baked pumpkin cookies, pumpkins breads and chocolate chip cookies also, to sell at the table. I am getting tired! We better have some customers! Anyway, those baskets have peppermint patties in them. I used my scallop punches to make them with. I stamped them, or cut out some of the images to decorate them. The baskets are made from paper lunch bags. I folded them down, carefully, because they are cheap and they rip sometimes, so carefully! When it's folded, it somehow ends up to be about 2 1/2 inches. I covered the front only with dp, and made a handle with cardstock and the dp. Attached with the cropodile and an eyelet. Stamped the image and matted it till it looked good! Fill the bag with a plastic bg for filler, then use the shreds, add your candy, and you done! Hope you love it! Hugs, michelle

Trick or Treat!

I made up a bunch of these for the crafts show this weekend. I really must destash my papers, and supplies, so these will be sold for 50 cents each. I cut a piece of cardstock 8 inches by 3 inches. I folded that in half. Then, I folded the top down on each side 3/4 of an inch. I adhered a stip of paper on each of those. Then, I added another strip at the bottom. I used a stamp I got at the dollare spot at Target, to stamp, Trick or Treat in black, in the middle of it. I then took the little pack of gummies I bought, put it in between the folded cardstock, flush with the top, used my cropodile to punch two holes thru it all, and then tied the string in a loose knot thru all layes, so they can untie it to get the goodies. I made 24 of these, they did not take really long at all. I will make some for the Christmas show I will do in November. It's too early for treats like that yet, at the shows. People are in Halloween mode. These will be made for my little Nicholas' class party too, along with some other things. I hope you like these, my kids did, and thier friends that came over loved them also. They are always looking to see what "Miss Michelle" (what they call me, instead of Mrs. Medich, don't want that!) is making this week! Gotta, go, Nicholas has a strep throat test this morning, and I gotta go banking for the school, and then to work! It never ends! Hugs, michelle

Just stopping in for a few minutes to post more things I am getting ready for this weekend. This show and the next are really last minute things. I really didn't plan on doing any this year, so, It's really slow going, and I won't have nearly what I usually have, but I don't really care. I was not even going to do this craft show, but it is for fundraising for the library I work in. It would not look good if I did not have a table! I usually do pretty well, so I think with what I have, I will sell. I have another at our school in November, so I can get a feel for what will sell, so I can make more or less of those things! Those are some pins I made, including a couple little puzzle piece pins. Those always sell good for me.

These are some other things I've done, painted measure cup from the flea market, (I have 4 of those) a poinsettia ornament with a poem I found somewhere online, and a little stuffed pumpkin. I used to make and sell tons of these around here. Those pumpkins were my "thing" at all the shows, no one did them, and no one did them like I did for the longest time! Those kinds of crafts were not popular in this part of Pa. at that time. I was a pretty young pup as far as crafters went too. Most of the crafters I did shows with , where older, retired ladies trying to make some "pin" money. I was in it for the fun, the money, and the recognition and I got it all the time! I always had one of my babies with me, and of course that attracted alot of attention all the time! (sneaky,eh?). Then I began a small business of running craft shows, and that did well, till I had my third kid, and I was just too busy to do shows, and run them, so I just sold in them. I am pretty well known for my "little, tedious" things no one else likes to do. I sewed all my crafts , dolls, pumpkins by hand, I had no sewing machine. I do now, but I still don't like using it! Anyway, enough of my "history", I was just reminscing because I had a crafter call me this morning and ask me if I was going to be in this show, she did not want to sit beside me! LOL! She says I out sell her everytime, and she needs some extra mnoey, so please, she loves me and my kids, but she wants to sit clear on the other side of the building! I just wanted to share some things I painted for the craft show this coming weekend. They are flea market finds, and a candleabra light bulb (can't spell that!) I love to paint snowmen. I have about 25 little puzzle pieces painted the same way. I make pins from those. I just sold 24 of them yesterday, she loved them! The wreath card is an idea I got from Julie Bettencourt's blog (see my sidebar). She made the cutest wreath from a Stampin' Up! oval scallop punch, and I had to make some cards with her idea! I love wreaths, they are so meaningful to me at Christmas. It makes me feel welcomed when I see simple green wreath on the front door of someones home!
The next are some cups I made from a purchased template, and I will get you the link, I don't have it in front of me right now, but they are the most accurate templates I have used! I am going to put hot chocolate and some mini marshmallows, and candy canes in the snowman cup, all wrapped up in cellophane with a stamped tag, which I have done, but didn't show. The fall one will have some fall chex mix in cellophane bags, also with a stamped tag. They were so fun to make!
The third is an idea from Splitcoast Stampers. It is made from pillow boxes, which the designer used a die, but I traced mine from a template I have. I am going to put something in the basket, but I don't know what yet. All these things are for a craft show I have coming up. I hope you like! Hugs,

Let me explain! I bought this set of stamps from Claire Brennan (I hope I spelled that right)her company is called Waltzingmouse Makes. Her blog is in my sidebar under blogs I visit. I love them! They are clear stamps, which I love! They are just the cutest, and I had such fun working with them this morning. I made 4 of each of those designs to go on card fronts. They are woderful! The set is called Sewing Box. You can paper piece them as I have done here in my samples. There are many possibilties! I love them, and just had to share! I hope you like my card fronts! I had fun! Snowmen and Pumpkins.....

Aren't these cute? The pumpkin is NOT my original idea, it is made from a tab punch.I saw the project at Splitcoast Stampers. What I did was, punched one out, enlarged it on the copier, and traced it 12 times on Coordinations cardstock, embossed it with my Cuttlebug swirls folder, added a tag. I would love to make these as place cards for Thanksgiving! The snowman, I used a Sizzix circles die, you get three different sizes of circles when you cut. I used 12 of the large for his body, embossed them with a cuttlebug snowflakes folder, inked some blue on each circle. I used the medium circle for his head, free hand cut the hat out, and the mittens, I used a piece of cardstock cut into a little point to glue into the body, I glued it in between two of the medium circles for the head to make a little "pick" out of his head. I also inked his little head a little, used sharpies to make the face. Oh, when I did the body, I cut a bit off the bottom of each circle to make him sit on the table. If you want more details, contact me via email at medichmm@comcast.net and I will explain more of how I made him. He and the pumpkin are going to be in craft shows this year, hope they sell!

Making some Christmas Cards for my stash! I have about 10 done now, which is not many. Usually I have much more done, but we've been a little busy lately! I am having my one and only picnic this weekend. We are having about 30 people over. Everyone is bringing something, but I am making the main things. Everyone wanted turkey, yes turkey! So turkey it will be. Also, hot sausage sandwiches, burrito casserole, homemade brownies, snacks. One friend is bringing some sides, another is bringing buffalo chicken dip and chinese coleslaw. Another is bringing the soda and the other snacks. I'm sure there will be more than enough! There always is. We are also celebrating my son's 18th birthday, although he does not know it yet! Some Christmas Shares

Hi all! I've been a little busy lately. My husband in working in Cleveland Ohio on a nuclear plant job, and is not home 5 days and 4 nights. It's a pain in the butt with 3 kids here always wanting to go somewhere, have all thier friends in my house all day, eating all my food, making a mess! But I actually do love it! I just don't like to be by myself all the time, but at least he is working. He is there to inspect some work they are doing in the plant, he has nothing to do with the nuclear work there. But he had to go thru all the safety training, many tests, and alot of security checks all the time! He was getting a little overwhelmed for a while, because he is just a simple construction inspector from Pittsburgh, Pa. that usually does not have to deal with all this, but he finally got used to it! Anyway on to the crafts! The first thing is a stitched card I made. I have these things from Oriental Trade that you poke thru to your paper and embroider and I finally used them! I made Santa's Hat here. I painted Shimmerz (I hope I spelled that right!) on the flowers. I just purchased it last week from the Shimmerz website.

These are Christmas Folders I made from recycled envlopes from the mail, bills and things. I put pockets on the inside for gift cards, tickets, pictures, money(my personal favorite!) whatever!

A little note about the top picture, those are bags made from envelopes, and the middle box is like the Halloween box I made before. I used quilling on the front of the box, and also on the front of one of the Christmas Folders. I had way too much that I like to do! But what would I do without my crafting? Clean the house, wash the clothes, make the beds, cook, ........don't think so! LOL! Have a great day! Hugs

I know Halloween is a long way off, but I had to use up some Fall paper and so,
I wanted to share a little box I made. a Patriotic Pocket

Good morning! I made another Patriotic Project this morning. I wanted to make some containers to put some candy in for the kids, so I made these. I got the origami pocket from this http://www.origami-club.com/en/ (just copy and paste to get there). I eliminated the handle in the pattern, and then I used my Cropodile to add the eyelets in front and back to add the little jute strings. That stamp I used is from Sugar Loaf, I think. It's older, probably at least 7 years old! I used my nesties for the stamped image and the scallop behind it. They were so easy to make! I have big plans, now let's see if I do it! We are waiting for some more storms to come through today. We got enough Wednesday evening, flooded our poor little town, and ruined so much! I hope we get spared tonite! I hope you like my project. Hi again! Another project. It's the card I mentioned on my previous post. I am making these for my friends and family. I used some older sets of stamps I have had for ages, but I love them. The firecrackers is part of a set I got off E-bay when I first started stamping. I love stamping them on designed paper, makes it easy, and I don't have to color! The 4th Of July stamp is from Target, clearance a few months ago. They are clear stamps, and there was a whole set of them, so I bought all the different sets they had, I think 3 of them. I really like them! I thought I would share a tip about using clear stamps. I have told many people this and it works. To get a nice clear image, go to Wal-mart and get a sanding block in the nail care section. Don't get the really rough one, get the one that is for smoothing. Each time I buy clear stamps, I gently rub them with this, the operative work is gently girls! I get a wonderful image every time! I do this if I have not used a clear stamp in a while too. Red, White, and Blue!!!

I love anything red, white and blue! I created this project with a tin I got at the Dollar Spot at Target. I covered it with scraps of paper I had, and used walnut ink to distress it a bit. I made the firecrackers from rolled up cereal boxes, and stamped the 4th of July stamp on some nestablities I just got! I am going to make a couple more for gifts. I love how it turned out.Please make sure to click on the picture to make it bigger, you can see it much better that way! The other is one I made last year from a little peat pot. I made them for favors for some friends. Later, I will post my 4th of July cards I made for my friends! I just love this time of year!

Well, I can't quit making things from Lolly's printable cupcake thingies! Here is a jar and a big recipe clip I made to go with the noteholder/recipe holder I made! I think I am going to put little baggies of sprinkles, chocolate chips, a package of cupcake papers in the jar. It would be such a cute gift to give to someone, don't know who, but someone!

Here I have a box of stuffed strawberries! I love how they turned out! I would like to start my Etsy Shop again, and start selling things like this. I am not quite sure how to package them to mail them. I want to sell them individual or a few at a time, not the whole box. I want to make the mailing cost effective for the customer. I have to figure that out. I would also like to have embellishments for card and scrapbooking for sale also, as well as little cards and gifts. I have to get motivated, and I will. Got a new project done!

This is a little recipe/note book I made from Lolly Chops Cupcake week on her blog! I'm sorry, I don't know how to link yet, tried and it did not work for me! She is having cupcake week over there, and this a little something I made from some printables she shared yesterday.The first pic, is the inside, the second is the note cards and the third is the front and the tablet. The cupcake on front of the folder and the little notebook are from her blog, they are so cute! I added some notecards also I cut out from my top note die from Stampin' Up! and backed it with pink cardstock. I stamped the little cupcake from a stamp set I got at Jo-anne Fabrics, don't know the name of the set right at this moment! I used Creamy Caramel ink from Stampin' Up! also for the little cupcake. I love that color! I will post the measurements later today, or tomorow if you want them. I am hoping to have more projects done with this too! I love cupcakes, my friends actually call me cupcake from time to time. I used to work at a deli/ice cream,dairy/bakery called Isaly's (home of the skyscraper ice cream cones!,based in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas) My oldest daugheter would come to work with me to wait for pappy to take her to grammas and I had to buy her a cupcake everyday! She only ate the top off, and gave the rest to my mum. Or I would eat it! Hence, the name "Cupcake"! Anyway, have a great day, hopefully no more rain! Cards and gifts.....

Hey everyone, beautiful day out today! It's like 80 degrees! I love it! I wish I had a little less pain from my fibro, but it will be ok! I woke up withe headache of the year the last couple days, it's from my neck pain. I am hoping that maybe with a little more outdoor activity I will start to feel a little better! Meantime, look how sweet.....

I came home from work the other nite to find this, Nicholas was looking thru his picture book (trucks, he loves them) and he just fell asleep. He has been sick off and on for a couple weeks, but he is finally feeling better. First he had a virus that gave him ulcers in his mouth, then he gets a cold. Like I said he is better now! No onto the project I want to share. These are for Teacher appreciation week. They are little peat pots, 3 inch size, decorated a little, I don't like to over do, and some matching cards. I don't have any to show for the other two little cards, because they arenn't done yet,but I'll get the done soon. I am putting little gifts of a little plant they can plant themselves in it, I got at Target at the Dollar spot. I hope to have more projects to share soon! Have a good weekend! Hugs

Look What I Got Today!!!

How cool is that! I ordered that stuff from the Sizzix site, and believe it or not I got it ALL for only $25.87 plus shipping! If anyone knows anything about those die cuts, and I'm sure most do, they are quite expenive! Some of those I bought are worth at least $14.99 for sure! My bill said I saved $81.00!!! I 'm so happy! I am going to share my stuff with a new friend I made thru crafting on Saturday, and we will have a blast cutting all this stuff out! I probably have thousands of dollars worth of stuff I bought over the years, so we should have no problem finding stuff to cut! I just wanted to share! If you get a chance, go on over to Sizzix, they always have a big sale, clearance, deals, etc.! Good service too. I ordered on Easter Sunday, and got it today. I hope all had a good weekend. I had a so so one. I made a couple things, but am only sharing one, since the other pic isn't that great! I'll take another. This pic isn't that great either, but I'm not a professional photographer, I'm a crafter. I like to make things and share pictures of them. I don't have fancy back drops, or a fancy camera. I'm lucky to have the one that I have! I'm just sayin. I had a person e-mail me about my photos. To that person: If you don't like them, dont' look!!! LOL!! Sorry about that, but I would never do that to someone, I am a nice person, who loves anyones' craft pictures, animal pictures, cards, kids, whatever. I am a plain , simple person, who loves my kids, dog, and my crafts, in that order! LOL! Anyway, enough of that, point made. Here is my clay pot table I made for my patio.

I love to paint. I'm not a pro at that either, but I do what I do, and everyone always likes it. Matter of fact, I have a couple orders already, because I was sitting on my front stoop painting these and a neighbor stopped by and admired and loved it, and ordered 2! I am going to make me a patriotic one, and watermelon themeed one for the patio. Anyway, I just wanted to share, and sorry about the rant about the pics, but I am appalled at peoples guts to tell another crafter thier pics are less than perfect and I should try harder. I made these for Nicholas' Kindergarten class. He loves to take things in to class and share! I have always done this for all my kids. I enjoy it! The teachers love it too. Silly Sally

I thought I'd share a pic of my silly dog. She lays in the strangest places. I caught her on the top of a bunch of pillows on the back of the couch. She looks fat. She really isn't, but in this picture she looks like she is 50 lbs.! She is really only about 12 lbs. right now. She is a mini dach. that is five years old now, and she is the sweetest little brat ever! She is a brat. She sleeps in our bed, between us, and she pushes my husband out of the way all nite! Most afternoons when I bring Nicholas home from school, he will sit in my lap to take a little rest, and Sally, miss jealous, has to park herself on the other side of my and jam herself between me and the arm of the chair. Then she lets out a sigh, she is now comfy! I love her! Enjoy her picture!

Hi! This is actually just a test post. I was trying out the new scanner, and we could not find the image we scanned! LOL! Anyway, I don't like it scanned because it looks wrinkly, but this is an embroidery I did a bit ago, and used the same material I used for the yo yo wreath. I got that stitchery pattern at Primitive Stitches. She has nice stuff. Well, I'm so tired, been up since 4 am. and have been cleaning and crafting all day! Till next time, hugs....

Here is the Yo Yo Wreath finished! I didn't add a bow yet, because i have not decided what to do yet. I love it, and am going to get some more material for summer, like patriotic or something to make more. Hope you like it!

This is the makings of a Yo Yo Wreath I am making for my front door, and I may start making some for my Etsy Shop real soon. The large ones are made from a Jumbo Yo Yo Maker from Clover, and the next size is the large Yo Yo Maker again, from Clover. The white thing is a ring cut from foam core for me to glue the yo yo's onto and hang on the door. I used to make these years ago, with no yo yo maker, so my yo yo's were not quite as consistent as these. And I used cardboard for the base to glue them on and it's not very sturdy. I had a St. Pats day one up this year, and had to revamp it because of the cardboard warping! Anyway, when I glue it all together, I will show you the fninshed product! Meantime , here is a picture of my youngest, Nicholas on St. Patrick's Day! I love his smile! (((hugs))))

Sharing a pic with you this morning! These are some little felties I have done for Easter. Some were done last year and some this year! I hope you like them! I'ts going to be a great day out today! 72 degrees out, so we will go to the park today, finally! I ordered a Janome Mini Sew and it should be coming today or tomorow! I can't wait! I hope I like it, I saw good reviews and bad. I learned not to go by those reviews, because some people just have hard time with things, and they get frustrated easily! I don't, I have alot of patience for the most part.

Hope you had a nice weekend. I had a busy one, I will just leave it at that. I am not to busy this week, so i may finally be able to post a couple of pics for you! I am still trying to get used to this Vista thing, it's not really much different, but I have issues. I will work them out.

If anyone watches the soaps, I can't wait to find out what is going on in the world of All My Children this week. They supposedly will find Greenlee's body. I wonder why she is off the show? I wonder if it's her body? I'm sure it isn't! And I can't wait till Starr finds out her baby is alive and Jessica has her! That will be interesting! I know soaps are frivolus wastes of time (is that a word??), but I have always watched them in the afternoon. I don't actually sit and hang on every scene, but they are on while I craft, get dinner, clean (when I do clean!) play on the computer, whatever. I just like to have them on. It's the only adult t.v. I watch. I let the kids watch t.v. when they are home. It does not bother me much unless I want to see something on QVC or if I missed a soap episode, sometimes I will put Soapnet on and watch that, but it's mostly thier time.

Good afternoon! I have been really busy getting my Easter Cards done. I'm making six for my mother to give to my kids and my nephews, so she doesn't have to go out and buy them. I am making a bunch to give out to friends, and 22 mini cards for my little guys kindergarten class. I ordered a few Easter things from Avon ( I sell) to give to three of my friends in school who are helping me out with this treasurer thing. Gosh,I went to the bank today with 6 deposits, and I was there for like 20 or 30 minutes, and I had everything ready! The teller thanked me for being so organized, since the last person was not. Can you beleive she would bring in the cash box, with something like $6,000 from the entire week of book fair, bills, coins, checks, and ask the teller to count it for her? Why.....????? Not to mention, she should have been depositing day by day, or at least every other day, not the whole amount, that is too much to bring home with you. It's a chance you take, so why not just deposit it as you get it? My books still do not balance, and I lose sleep over things like that, so I am going to put it away, and wait till Saturday evening to take another look, then if it doesnt' balance, I will ask for help, I guess!

Anyway, I got my Kodak program loaded in, but I'm afraid there is something wrong with it. I certainly hope not. I like it because it is easy for this dummy! I can work with it, and it usually works for me. I know my pics are not the greatest, but they are all I have to show so until I hit the lottery, or someone leaves me an endowment or something, that is the camera I will have to use! LOL! Another Busy Morning!

This treasurer job is a big one. Bigger than I thought. I am not sure I like handling all this money and checks. I don't even use my own balance sheet for the bank, and I have to use one for this! Iactually have to get help, because I never balance my checkbook. I don't have to. I only use it for bills, and nothing else, so I know exactly what is going on. I came home with over $3,000 in cash and checks, a big pile of reciept I have to file, write out checks to and send in to whoever they go to. It's going to be a hour or more worth of work! She (my friend/president of P.T.O.) tole me it was easy and wont take up much time. I don't know about her, but sitting for over an hour in school, going to the bank almost daily, sitting at home balancing, writing checks, making deposit slips, running into the school getting money that needs depositing, sure does take up my time! Well, I have a few embroideries and cards done, and my son might be able to get my Kodak program on here today since he stayed home from school today, so I may be able to get some pics posted! Good Monday afternoon! Still didn't get the Kodak program loaded into the new puter yet. I'm getting there. I had a meeting at work this morning, which I hated. It's so dumb. There are only three of us, and I can certainly keep up with what is going on for the most part. It's just a time waster to me! I like my job, but some days, I think of just quitting. Anyway, working on some new cards, some new embroideries, and hoping to get my Etsy shop going again. I would like to get some crocheted flowers for cardmaking and scrapbooking in there, cards and embroidered items. I am sitting here watching General Hospital, and I can't wait till Sonny finds out what Claudia did! She is so strange! I can't stand her! One Life to Live has been interesting, I sure hope Mathew lives thru the accident. Nora will be devasated, so will I! Well, have a great day, and I will try to get my pics up tomorow or the next day. New computer....

I got a Dell! Had to buy a new one because the other one was all messsed up from a virus, and could not be fixed! Had to spend my Christmas money I saved for myself last year to buy myself some craft stuff, but had to buy this! I like it so far. It has Vista, so we'll see how we like that. I can't complain, it wasn't too expensive, I just wish I didn't have to download all my stuff back in. I won't be posting much pics for a couple days till I get my Kodak program back in. Some embroidery....

I finally got some of my embroidery posted here. I am undecided on what to do with them. I may make little pillows, or little totes, or mount them on artist's canvas for hanging. I would like to make more for some shows I plan on doing, they work up so fast! I love doing shows. I love meeting people, I love seeing all the booths and tables, and the food is usually so good! I love selling too. I am usually called the Dollar Store. I sell my stuff a little less than some do, because I simply enjoy making things, and selling to people that really love my things. I have alot of followers that do look for me so I always try to please them! Today is a busy day again, I'm working the book fair and toting the money to the bank. I have that job! I have to count, recount, stack, label, make out deposit slips and then the bank recounts of course to be safe. It's a long ordeal because I deposit money in the thousands and it's alot of one dollar and five dollar bills, always. I can't wait to get the change next week! It's so nice outside! I want to go wash the car,clean up the yard, and take a walk. I can't, I have to stay in and cook and clean up the house, and count Book Fair money! Anyway,I don't have anything to share today, except for this photo taken on SuperBowl Sunday, when the Steelers won the Super Bowl! Even the dog go in the picture. She didn't like all the yelling and hollering during the game, but she was ok later. That is Angela and Nicholas my two youngest. We watched the game with my friends and neighbors, and we have a blast! Well, I will hopefully have some pics of some embroidery to share tomorow. Until then have a great day!

Here I am, again!

Here I am again, and hopefully I can share some things I have been working on! It's been a long, cold, snowy winter, and we are sick of it!!! Let's get right into it. I love embroidery and felt, and I came up with this Easter/Spring decoration and hopefully I will get the ambition to make more. I cut two pieces of pink felt out with pinking shears, drew the embroidery lines on it, cut the little bunny from tan felt (I used a cookie cutter for the bunny), embroidered his ears and nose, and stitched him on there with a simple running stitch. I cut the flowers out with my Big Shot, never knew you could use it for felt, but from visiting a blog by LollyChops, I learned something new! Soon as I figure out how to link, I will link to Lolly's blog, it's a blast! Anyway, here is my decoration:

I wanted to share another project that I have done. It's a flower card I made with my new Paper Wishes Template called Giant Flower Template. I love it! I also got a cupcake template also, and will be sharing some projects with that soon too. Here is a card made with the Giant Flower and just a flower ready for a card. I inked the edges for some contrast. Hope you like it!

It's been wayyyyyy tooooo long!

Wow, it's been a really long time! I have had too much to do for a long time. The weather was rotten, work was a bear, but now I think I am ready to come back! I want to try to do this almost daily. I have some new interests right now as far as crafting, and want to do too many things! I made this cute gingerbread cookie dough hanger. They are posted above. And some other things. I 've been interested in stitchery so I bought a few patterns from my favorite designers. One being Palette Primitives. Cute stuff! Hopefully I will have some more things to post and show next time. I have my oldest son ata home sick right now. I am worried about him because he has been getting sick alot this past 9 months. I hope he feels better soon!

Our weather has really changed this week. It was in the 90's last week, this week in the 60's! It's kinda chilly! It is supposed to get better as far as the temps soon, but we are expecting rain this weekend. I hate rainy weekends! By next week, actually the end, we are supposed to be back up in the 90's again.
